Oman has been known for its sea coast for ages. Omanis were associated with pioneering maritime navigation since ancient times, and for this they were called masters of the seas. Qurayyat is considered one of the coastal states.

Al Sirah Tower is located on the coast of Quriyat, at the top of a rocky promontory on the seashore, surrounded by sea water in a terrible view. Today, this tower is considered an important historical landmark for the state, and a wonderful sight embodying the beauty of Omani architecture and its wonderful engineering, as pictures of the tower were circulated in many corridors of the world.

Al Sirah  represents a landmark and a destination for fishermen, and at the same time it is one of the coastal places that people visit for recreation and listening to the scene of sunrise in the early morning, also the view of sunset in the evening. In recent years, the municipality has beautified the place adjacent to Al Sirah ; With the aim of encouraging tourism, it is a wonderful place for family tourists, where nature embraces heritage and the sea.
